Tersan Shipyard project NB1089, named after Harald Martin, built for the Owner Nordlaks was launched with a ceremony.

The LNG Hybrid Live fish carrier is the second of the series and one of the biggest live fish carrier that Tersan Shipyard has built so far. The 84 meters long and 19 meters wide vessel is also unique with her propulsion system among her technologically advanced fish handling systems. With her two deck tanks and four pieces of fuel conditioning systems, Harald Martin is a significant and fully redundant LNG powered vessel thanks to its very innovative design.

Designed by NSK Ship Design and built under supervision of DNVGL, this live fish carrier will be one of the most efficient and most advanced vessels of its type. The first vessel of the series, NB1088 Bjorg Pauline under construction at Tersan Shipyard is planned to be delivered in 2020.

“This Live Fish Carrier, which indicates a very important milestone in aquaculture fishing sector and has high standards, also represents our strong and future partnership with Nordlaks as well as with Norway.” stated Mr. Mehmet Gazioğlu, the general Manager of Tersan during the launching ceremony. “We are proud of this vessel built for Nordlaks. This vessel has significance for our shipyard and country because; like her sister vessel she will be one of the pioneering vessels in which a number of new and environmentally conscious technologies are being applied. Thanks to all stakeholders; suppliers and mainly to our employees who have put efforts in it to become true. From today we are looking for the successful delivery of Harald Martin, on time and on budget by the beginning of 2021.”
